Peach Cobbler Recipe
Ingredients:
4 cups fresh peaches (peeled and sliced) or canned peaches (drained)
1 cup granulated sugar, divided
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat Oven:Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Prepare Peaches:If using fresh peaches, toss them with 1/4 cup of the sugar in a bowl and set aside. If using canned peaches, drain well and proceed directly to the next step.
Prepare Batter:In a separate bowl, combine the remaining 3/4 cup sugar, flour, and milk. Stir in the vanilla extract until the mixture is smooth.
Assemble Cobbler:
Pour the melted butter into a 9x13-inch baking dish, tilting the dish to spread it evenly.
Pour the batter over the melted butter, but do not stir.
Spoon the peaches (and any juices) evenly over the batter. Do not mix; the batter will rise around the peaches as it bakes.
Bake:Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the crust comes out clean.
Serve:Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving. Pair with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a delightful dessert.
Tips for a Luxe Twist:
Add a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmeg to the peaches for extra warmth and flavor.
Use brown sugar for a caramelized touch.
Garnish with fresh mint leaves or a dusting of powdered sugar before serving.
