Southern Fried Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 12 pieces of chicken

  • 2 cups buttermilk

  • 2 cups flour

  • 1 tbsp garlic powder

  • 1 tbsp onion powder

  • 1 tbsp paprika

  • 1 tsp cayenne pepper

  • Salt and pepper to taste




Instructions:

  1. Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 1 hour.

  2. Mix flour with seasonings in a shallow dish.

  3. Heat oil to 350°F in a large skillet or fryer.

  4. Dredge chicken in seasoned flour and fry until golden brown, about 10–12 minutes per side.
